So, I set up this cool Fire Station tour for our MOM's Club. It was a great turnout...20 kids were there! Those poor firefighters! I thought that Chase would LOVE this, but I thought wrong.
First, we went up to the living quarters and they were telling us about how they stay there for 24 hour shifts and they walked us through the livingroom, kitchen and workout area. What was Chase looking at? The remote controls and their Nintendo system!
Then, we headed down to the garage to look at the trucks! Poor Chase did not like it down there! I think it was the combination of the big trucks and the dark garage. During the whole tour of that area, he was hanging on tight!
After that, they had a firefighter put on his gear. They did this so the kids could see that he was not scary. Once he was dressed, he knelt down and all the kids gave him a high five...all, but Chase! He wanted NOTHING to do with him.
We ended the tour with a group picture, stickers and a walk through the truck. He did do all of that...he may not have been too happy, but he did do it on his own. All in all, it was a great day and we learned a lot!
