We took Chase on a tour of Hammond's Candy Factory today. We thought it would be a neat thing to do for Valentine's Day. He loved it. He got to see them cool off the hard candy mixture, then they cut it up and put it on the pulling machine. He was fascinated that it changed colors! One went from brown to white and the other from reddish to green. His favorite part was the candy shop..of course! He loved looking at all the pretty candy, but in the end only picked out a sucker and a piece of chocolate. Hammond's is unique in that they still make all of their candy by hand...ribbon candy, candy canes, lollipops and chocolates.
