So, here is a little update on what Al and I have been up to. We are working on getting rid of all of our debt and we are doing a great job! Back in March, we started following Dave Ramsey's "Debt Snowball Plan". You can find information on in at DaveRamsey.com. Since then, we have put ourselves on a strict budget, built up a $1000 emergency fund, paid off Al's Lasik surgery, our two cars and one of my student loans. All we have left is my other student loan and a small medical bill. We are hoping to be debt free (except for the house) by August! It has been a challenge, but well worth it. Once we have paid all that off, we will build up our 3-6 month emergency fund and start saving towards Chase's college education. I can tell you...it was an awesome feeling when I held that clear car title in my hands!
So, as Dave put it, we are "Living like no on else, so we can LIVE like no one else". He has really been an inspiration!
Besides paying off our bills, we are planning our trip home to Michigan. We will be in the U.P. this year for almost five weeks and are very excited about it. And, we are paying for it all in CASH!!!
