No More Tonsils...

Today was the big day...Chase had his tonsils and adenoids removed.  He was pretty excited when we went in and was being the charmer that he is with the nurses.  Daddy was the brave one to go back to the OR when they put him to sleep (the doctor recommended that I do not do it).  It was a stressful hour, but Dr. Dickey finally came out and said everything went great.  Both his tonsils and adenoids were very enlarged, so it was a good choice to take them out.

After he woke up from surgery, he was pretty cranky, but the nurse gave him a little pain medication and he fell back to sleep.  The second time waking up was not so bad.  We spent about an hour in recovery and then were moved into a private room.  We stayed there for four hours and at that time, he was doing pretty good so we got the OK to head home.  He was pretty excited to ride the wheelchair and get home.
