Chicago Getaway

After four years, Al and I were able to take a much needed getaway.  Since I had never been to the nice part of Chicago, we decided to get ourselves a room right on Michigan Avenue and enjoy all there was to see.  That involved a lot of walking....A LOT of walking! 

 I love the show, "Cupcake Wars" and one of the judges is Candace Nelson.  She opened the very first cupcake shop and one is in Chicago, so I had to stop by!

 We were in town for the Air and Water show.  Thought it would be crowded, but it was not that bad.

 While we were there, we took an Architectural Boat Tour up the Chicago River.  I highly recommend this!
