Lake Superior is known for its shipwrecks and the most notable is the wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald. The Shipwreck Museum at Whitefish Point has the bell from the boat on display in memory of the 29 crew members that perished. We thought this would be an educational stop for the kids. It was an emotional one, too.
