Giving to the Dumb Friends League

Chase decided about six months ago that he wanted to use his "Give" money he had been saving for the year to help the "puppies and kitties" that didn't have homes.  We agreed to match whatever he saved and in the end, he had $14.00 of his own money in his envelope.  We gave him another $14.00 and headed to Costco to buy treats and tuna!

When I contacted the shelter to ask the best time to drop off the items, they were so impressed with Chase that they offered him a Behind the Scenes tour of the facility.  He invited his friend, Samuel, to come along.

Chase and all the treats he bought.

Here we are!  The Dumb Friends League Buddy Center.

Carrying some of his treats in.

Helping our tour guide, Nicole, put them under the tree.

Checking out an albino rat.  He was cute!

The tree and all the donations brought in!

 This dog was SO cute!

Behind the scenes and getting to pet a kitty.

 The vet's office.

The testing area.  This is where they test the friendliness of the animals dropped off.

The play area.  This dog took one look at the boys and took off!

 Grooming area.

Late night drop off cages.  They have beds and water inside.

This little rat was so funny!  He wanted to get out and play.

 Talking to the kitties.

Checking out the dogs one more time.

We are so proud of Chase and the "giver" he is becoming.  And, are very thankful to the Buddy Center for giving him a chance to meet the animals he will be helping.
